Music is an invaluable resource for teachers of
younger students, especially if it is suitable for their current language
skills, and matches the language they learn in the classroom.
Recently, Scott and Nashima Mat
Razali, in cooperation with Brighton Education, completed a book of songs , which matched the
language used in each unit of the year three childrens textbook.
The song book includes a CD,
with songs like “ It’s Story time,”
and “Things I do,” enhancing each
part of the children’s textbook, with a sing-a-long activity, using
essential expressions previously taught
to the students.
At a recent Teachers Workshop
at SK.Pahi, Scott gave copies of this newly published book to all the teachers
involved in our program, which included a CD of all the songs.
Scott is particulary proud of
the cover of Simple Songs, which was designed by one of the children in a class, he mentors, and mentioned if any parents or teachers are interested in
acquiring “Simple Songs 3,” they can
